The Children’s Treatment Centre will be holding their Celebrity Walk & Breakfast event on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the Best Western.

The RCMP will be hosting its first ever regimental ball in October 2025.

The Children’s Treatment Centre will be holding a virtual Bike-A-Thon this year event which will span over the month of June. The virtual Bike-A-Thon allows participants/teams to set a fundraising goal of their choice to strive for. Participate along, with family members, friends, or colleagues anytime between June 1 - 30, 2025. Participants can choose their own location and route to cycle or walk.

The winning tickets were drawn in the presence of Inspector Etienne Thauvette, Officer-in-Charge Cornwall RCMP Detachment; Hugo Rodrigues, Managing Editor of the Standard Freeholder; Richard Mahoney, Publisher/General Manager of the Seaway News and Mary Lalonde, Coordinator of the Draw and Volunteer at the Centre.

A father and son team in Cornwall has planned a James Bond themed event that’ll have the feel of a Hollywood premiere, a special screening of the iconic 1995 spy film Goldeneye on Oct. 21, at a Port Theatre that will look even better than when it opened 80 years ago.
